Awesome Act, a fast-finishing fourth in the Breeders' Cup Turf, will return to America for a springtime campaign that trainer Jeremy Noseda hopes will land him a spot in the Kentucky Derby.

A son of Awesome Again, Awesome Act will run in the Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct on March 6 in what will be his first start since Nov. 7 and his first on dirt.

"Awesome Act's performance in the Gotham is the key to how we move forward," Noseda said on his website. "If he puts up a bold show there, the plan is to ship him to Keeneland and train him prior to his next start in America, the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 3.

"I am confident of securing the services of a top-flight American jockey," said Noseda, at one time based in Southern California.

Beaten 1 1/4 lengths by Pounced in the Juvenile Turf, Awesome Act has won just once in six starts, that a seven-furlong maiden race at Goodwood on Oct. 10. A week later he was ninth in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes behind subsequent Breeders' Cup Juvenile sixth Beethoven.

His Mr. Prospecto dam, Houdini's Honey, is a full sister to the outstanding stallion Machiavellian and a half sister to Prix Jacques le Marois winner Exit to Nowhere.
