Blind Luck, the champion 3-year-old filly of 2010, will be ridden by leading jockey Rafael Bejarano in the $150,000 La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita on Feb. 13, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said.

Bejarano rode Blind Luck six times from December 2009 to June 2010, a span in which she won three stakes, including the Grade 1 Las Virgenes Stakes at Santa Anita and the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs. Bejarano was replaced by Joel Rosario last summer.

Rosario rode Blind Luck in her last start, a second-place finish in the Grade 2 El Encino Stakes on Jan. 16, but has committed to riding Switch in the $300,000 Santa Margarita Stakes on March 13, leading Hollendorfer to seek a rider for Blind Luck who could make a long-term commitment.

"He is the leading rider and probably riding as good as anybody has seen him ride," Hollendorfer said of Bejarano. "I don't think he's lost a photo here."

Friday, Bejarano worked Blind Luck five furlongs in 59.80 seconds, an exercise that Hollendorfer described as "nice and smooth."

Rosario still has a leading chance in the La Canada, which is run over 1 1/8 miles for 4-year-old fillies. He has the mount on Harmonious, the winner of two Grade 1 races on turf last year.
