SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Hilda's Passion came out of her sensational victory in Saturday's Grade 1 Ballerina at Saratoga with a non-displaced condylar fracture of her right front leg trainer Todd Pletcher revealed on Sunday. Hilda's Passion moved to the top of the filly and mare sprint division with a 9 1/4-length triumph in the seven-furlong Ballerina.

"She'll go to Rood and Riddle Clinic for surgery tomorrow," Pletcher said. "It's pretty minor, one clean line, and she could return to race again. It's one of those decisions we'll have to wait and make after the surgery. As far as I know the owners were considering bringing her back to race again next year."

Hilda's Passion is owned by Starlight Partners and Clint Glasscock.

The Ballerina was the eighth win, and first Grade 1 victory, in 14 starts for Hilda's Passion, a 4-year-old daughter of Canadian Frontier. She finished second in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff earlier this season.

"She ran a couple of races earlier this year that were really, really good and I think this one stacks right up there with them," said Pletcher. "To win a Grade 1 by 9 1/4 lengths is pretty impressive."
