Jockey Eibar Coa rode his 4,000th career winner Friday aboard Maddy's Crowd in the ninth race at Monmouth Park.

"I was really happy to get this win at Monmouth," Coa said in a Monmouth release. "I've been very lucky here, and a lot of my friends are here in the jockey's room" A 39-year-old native of Venezuela, Coa first rode in the United States in 1993. In addition to winning riding titles at Monmouth Park in 2001 and 2002, Coa has been top jockey at Aqueduct, Belmont, Calder, and Gulfstream.
