2012 Arkansas Derby Field and Breakdown

The early line for the Arkansas Derby is out and my opinion about who the main players are in this race remain Optimizer and Secret Circle. I'll likely be using Bodemeister, Raconteur, and Isn't He Clever to fill out trifectas and superfectas - if I bet them. I'm finally off my Sabercat obsession and not likely to look back. It doesn't feel as though Stat even belongs in this field, but people far brighter than me disagree. In the end, this year's Arkansas Derby is likely to be an interesting race and, if the odds stay nice, a race that some of us are going to make a pretty good payday from.
