Big Daddy No Buck's Kentucky Derby Short List as of 4-21-2011

It's only a couple of weeks before they gallop for the roses and I can honestly say I have absolutely no clue as to who the favorites should be. However, last weekend's Arkansas Derby and Blue Grass Stakes did confirm a few things. First, bad weather and bad starts really do mix to create dream tickets like 120K plus superfectas; and secondly, a good ride often trumps a good horse.

So where's all the above leave me for the Derby? Basically hoping that everyone is struggling with finding a favorite so the race will produce as good of odds as it did last year. For now I'll go with the crowd and take the four horses below, but I suspect my faves will be changing right up until the gates open.
