Albano is a Istan and Pocho's Dream Girl colt who won the Sugar Bowl at Fair Grounds in December of last year. He followed that up with two second place finishes in the G3 Lecomte and the G2 Risen Star.
However, after a 4th place finish in the Louisiana Derby, his owners have decided to pass on the Kentucky Derby. They believe he'll be a graded stakes winner but that it may be too early in this young colt's racing career.
