Ring Weekend is a Tapit colt who won the Tampa Bay Derby and finished second in the Calder Derby. Trainer Graham Motion has him training at Fair Hill until just before the Derby.
"He will work there and we'll see how he's doing," Motion said. "We will do the right thing by the horse. He has run a lot and he has run at Churchill Downs (last September) so there is no need to rush there."
