Daddy Nose Best is a Scat Daddy and Follow Your Bliss colt. After a dominating performance in the Sunland Derby G3 on March 25, his connections procured the services of jockey Garrett Gomez for the Kentucky Derby on May 5th. You can bet Gomez appreciates the opportunity.
"We wouldn't trade places with anybody," said Tony Matos (agent for Garrett Gomez). "There will be a lot of speed in the Derby and Daddy Nose Best can get the mile and a quarter. We're very excited to be riding for Steve Asmussen."
Daddy Nose Best has raced twice at a mile and an eighth and won both. His sire, Scat Daddy, was more of a sprinter which can be a cause for concern. As of right now I don't think Daddy Nose Best will make my shortlist, but we're still two weeks away so anything can happen!
