Dortmund is a undefeated colt in the Bob Baffert stable. His wins include the G1 Los Alamitos Futurity, the G2 Robert B. Lewis Stakes, the G2 San Felipe Stakes, and the G1 Santa Anita Derby. He's been winning in dominant fashion and looks prepped for a big race in Kentucky. He's currently training at Santa Anita and jockey Marty Garcia liks what he sees.
"It was a good experience for him," Garcia said. "In between horses—no problem. He got a little bit dirty—no problem."
Dortmund is no sleeper pick for sure, but he may actually not go off as the morning line favorite. If the money's right, he'll be in our bets for sure.
