Take Charge Indy is an A. P. Indy and Take Charge Lady colt. Aside from the excellent pedigree, this horse has two wins and two places in six career starts. His latest win came in the Florida Derby where he beat out the heavy favorite (and likely Derby favorite) Union Rags. If all that wasn't enough to consider this horse, he's also ridden by jockey Calvin "Bo-rail" who's won three of the last five Kentucky Derby races.
Race position will mean a lot to TCI in the Kencutky Derby, especially since his jockey likes to get on the inside. The distance won't be a problem - his last 4 races were at a mile and 1/16 with his final race being the mile and 1/8 Florida Derby. For me there's no getting away from this horse on May 5th. A bad starting position could change that, but right now he'll make my short list.
