Strong Mandate is a Tiznow colt who finished third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile back in November. So far this year he's finished second in the G3 Southwest Stakes and fourth in the G2 Rebel Stakes.

Strong Mandate worked five furlongs earlier this week in preparation for his start in the $1 million Arkansas Derby (G1) April 12. He'll have a new rider for this race - Luis Saez - and he'll need a big showing if he hopes to stay on the road to Kentucky.
