Multiple graded stakes winner Caracortado will miss the $1 million GEICO Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint with a slight quarter crack in the right front hoof, trainer Mike Machowsky confirmed Nov. 2.

Ron the Greek, dominant winner of the Jockey Club Gold Cup in his most recent start for trainer Bill Mott, has developed a quarter crack in his right front hoof and will miss the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic Nov. 2 at Santa Anita Park.

Last year's juvenile champion Hansen has been ruled out of consideration for the Aug. 25 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course with an injured tendon and likely will not race again, according to his co-owner, Dr. Kendall Hansen.
