Moreno wins CT Classic; Shared Belief eased at 1-9
Shared Belief tops Charles Town Classic
Joseph Shields Jr.'s homebred Classic Point, away since her victory last November in the Go For Wand Handicap (gr. III) in New York, returned to the races in fine form to post an upset in the $200,000 Inside Information Stakes March 21 at Gulfstream Park.
WinStar Farm's homebred Royal Son, who already has a solid victory on Turfway Park's Polytrack surface, drew the rail and most likely will be favored to capture the $550,000 Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral Stakes March 21 at the Kentucky racetrack.
Matthew Shera's Race Day edged past a stubborn Midnight Hawk near the wire to capture the $250,000 Razorback Handicap for 4-year-olds and up March 14 at Oaklawn Park.
St. Elias Stable and West Point Thoroughbreds' Ring Weekend stormed by on the far outside to win the $400,000 Frank E. Kilroe Mile Stakes March 7 at Santa Anita Park.
Lane's End Racing and Dell Ridge Farm's Honor Code, in his first start of 2015, mowed down the front-runners with a strong rally to capture the $300,000 Gulfstream Park Handicap March 7.
Flavor Racing, Brous Stable, and Wachtel Stable's Quality Rocks rallied from just off the pace to capture the $200,000 Florida Oaks for 3-year-old fillies March 7 at Tampa Bay Down.
Effective with the entries for March 5, the New York Racing Association said Feb. 24 it will end a controversial rule that mandated 15 days between starts for horses at Aqueduct Racetrack.
The top three finishers in the Jan. 17 Lecomte Stakes will face several new shooters in the $400,000 Risen Star Stakes Feb. 21 at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
