Kentucky Derby-winning trainer Doug O'Neill said he will drop his appeal of a 45-day suspension in California stemming from a carbon dioxide overage in one of his horses in 2010 and will serve the suspension from Aug. 19-Sept. 27.
Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another was ailing well before he was retired from racing with a tendon injury the day ahead of his bid to win the Belmont Stakes and become the first Triple Crown champion in 34 years.
Belmont Stakes winner Union Rags has a minor ligament injury in his left front leg and will be sidelined for the rest of the year.
