Sam-Son Farm's homebred Deceptive Vision has been knocking on the door in stakes company, and the lightly-raced blueblood duly burst through with a convincing score in Sunday's Grade 2, $305,250 Canadian Stakes at Woodbine.
Third in last year's Ricoh Woodbine Mile behind Wise Dan, British invader Trade Storm came from off the pace to claim the top prize over Kaigun on the turf at the Toronto-area track Sept. 14.
English invader Sheikhzayedroad made a successful North American debut when he held off Dynamic Sky in a tight finish in the $282,711 Northern Dancer Turf Stakes Sept. 14 at Woodbine.
