Doctors at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine's New Bolton Center removed a 15-inch external growth from the intestines of Haskell Invitational winner Paynter, owner Ahmed Zayat confirmed Oct. 3.
Haskell Invitational winner Paynter will undergo surgery on an abscess of the cecum Oct. 3 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine's New Bolton Center, owner Ahmed Zayat reported the evening of Oct. 2.
Morton Fink's Wise Dan is telling trainer Charlie Lopresti he's ready to get back to the races and that's just what he's going to do, as Lopresti plans on entering him Oct. 3 for the Oct. 6 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland.
An overflow field of juvenile fillies will get the autumn meet at Keeneland off and running, with 16 entered for the $400,000 Darley Alcibiades opening day Oct. 5.
