The field for this year's Grade 3, $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot was finalized on Wednesday morning as entries were taken and post positions drawn for the 1 1/16-mile contest for two-year-olds.
Trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. on Wednesday received a stay of a 10-year suspension handed down last month by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board that will likely remain in force until his appeal of the board's decision is resolved.
Owner Art Preston and trainer Scooter Dickey met at Churchill Downs on Wednesday morning and decided to continue the 2011 campaign of Flat Out in the 137th running of the Grade 1, $500,000 Clark Handicap on November 25 at Churchill Downs.
The 3-year-old colt Frankel -- to the surprise of no one -- has been named Cartier Horse of the Year for 2011.
