Zenyatta will be paraded between races at Hollywood Park on Sunday as part of Zenyatta Appreciation Day, a day before she is flown to Kentucky.
On paper, it was obvious there was very little early speed in Saturday's $100,000 Tropical Turf Handicap at Calder. That fact was not lost on trainer Marty Wolfson or jockey Luis Saez.
Left alone on the lead, Aggie Engineer proved impossible to catch in Saturday's $100,000 Native Diver Handicap at Hollywood Park.
On her own, the 6-year-old Zardana has had an excellent career, winning 8 of 22 starts, five stakes, and $464,276. She won the Grade 2 Bayakoa Handicap at Hollywood Park in 2009 and will be out to defend her title in Sunday's $150,000 running.
