After splitting two previous juvenile stakes earlier in the meet, Bayerd and Shotgun Kowboy square off in the rubber match, the $250,000 Remington Springboard Mile on closing night Dec. 14 at Remington Park.
Trainer Todd Pletcher is pointing a pair of Grade 1 winners to the first major race for older horses in the country, the $500,000 Donn Handicap Feb. 7 at Gulfstream Park.
She's in the driver's seat already, but a win in the $350,000 Starlet Stakes Dec. 13 would mean the checkered flag in the juvenile filly Eclipse Award race for Take Charge Brandi.
