He followed that up with a win in the G3 El Camino Real Derby and looked to be on track for a Run for Roses. Unfortunately, he followed up with a disappointing 6th place finish in the Spiral G3 behind several other promising Derby contenders.

Vicar's in Trouble is a Mike Maker trained colt who won the G2 Louisiana Derby. Prior to that he won the G3 Lecomte and finished third in the G2 Risen Star. He has a small stature for a Derby contender.

Toast of New York is a Thewayyouare and Claire Soleil colt who won the G2 UAE Derby. Despite having more than enough points to enter the Run for the Roses, Trainer Jamie Osborne and owner Michael Buckley have decided he will not travel to the United States for the May 3 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

Constitution is a Tapit and Baffled colt who won the Florida Derby. Despite having enough points to run in the Derby this year, he will be forced to miss out due to the discovery of a hairline fracture in his front right cannon bone earlier this month.

Intense Holiday is a Harlan's Holiday and Intensify colt who won the G2 Risen Star and finished second in the G1 Louisiana Derby. His latest workouts have looked solid and really impressed trainer Todd Pletcher.

Wildcat Red won the G2 Fountain of Youth and followed that up with a second place finish in the G1 Florida Derby. He's run seven races in his young career, never finishing worse than third and he's also handled increasing distance very well.

We Miss Artie is an Artie Schiller and Athena's Gift colt who won the G1 Breeders' Futurity in October of last year. He finished 8th in the G2 Fountain of Youth, but was able to collect enough points to qualify for the Kentucky Derby with a win in the G3 Spiral Stakes.

Samraat is a Noble Causeway sired colt who went undefeated in his first five starts, including wins in the G3 Gotham Stakes and the G3 Withers. He finished second in the G1 Wood Memorial to Wicked Strong but has more than enough points to qualify for the Run for the Roses.

Hoppertunity is an Any Given Saturday and Refugee colt trained by Bob Baffert. After a 4th place finish in the G2 Risen Star, he rebounded for a win in the G2 Rebel Stakes. He finished second to California Chrome in the Santa Anita Derby and looks primed for a good run in Kentucky.

Chitu is a Bob Baffert trained Henny Hughes and Sea Gift colt. He finished second in the G2 Robert B. Lewis Stakes and a win in the G3 Sunland Derby gave him enough points to qualify for the Run for the Roses.
