California Chrome was #12 on the Kentucky Derby list as of the first of April, but his dominating victory in the Santa Anita Derby has catapulted him up the leader board and put him in first with 150 points heading into the Kentucky Derby. He is undefeated in all three of his starts this year and he's looked good in his latest workouts.

Tapiture is a Tapit and Free Spin Colt who broke his maiden in the G2 Kentucky Jockey Club last November. He followed that performance with a win in the G3 Southwest Stakes and a place in the G2 Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

General A Rod is a Roman Ruler colt who finished first, second and third respectively in the Gulfstream Park Derby, the G2 Fountain of Youth, and the G1 Florida Derby. Based on those performances, he's earned enough points to run for the roses in the Kentucky Derby.

Albano is a Istan and Pocho's Dream Girl colt who won the Sugar Bowl at Fair Grounds in December of last year. He followed that up with two second place finishes in the G3 Lecomte and the G2 Risen Star.

Cairo Prince is a Pioneerof The Nile colt who won the G2 Holy Bull back in January of this year. His 4th place finish in the Florida Derby has him on the bubble with points so he'll need a little luck to stay on the short list for contenders on the first Saturday in May.

Uncle Sigh is a Indian Charlie sired colt who finished second in both the G3 Withers and the G3 Gotham Stakes to Samraat. However, his disappointing fifth place in the Wood Memorial leaves him just outside the contender list.

Vinceremos is a Pioneer of the Nile and Kettle's Sister who won the G3 Sam F. Davis and finished second in the G2 Tampa Bay Derby at Tampa Bay Downs. He was a non-factor in the Blue Grass stakes and is likely off the Derby trail now.

Harry's Holiday is a Harlan's Holiday and Daisy Mason colt who finished second in the G3 Spiral Stakes the end of March. He lost the Spiral by a nose and will be seeking retribution in the Blue Grass Stakes today at Keeneland.
